Scott Alexander Pruett, 51, of Morganton, NC passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born on June 28, 1965 in Burke County, NC and was the son of Robert Alexander Pruett and Jacquelyn Ann Dorn Pruett. Scott was a loving son and brother who loved his family dearly. He graduated from Sanderson High School in Raleigh, then attended Wake Technical College and graduated at the top of his class in the HVAC program. Scott enjoyed flying airplanes with his father. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and doing anything outdoors.
In addition to his parents he is survived by brother, Richard Pruett and wife, Cecilia and numerous cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Norm Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to History Museum of Burke County, P.O. Box 416, Morganton, NC 28680-0416 or to a charity of one’s choice.
