Samuel “Eric” Suttlemyre, 55 of Morganton, NC passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Born on July 16, 1966, he was the son of the late James Herbert Suttlemyre and Martha McClellan Suttlemyre. Eric was the owner and operator of Suttlemyre Construction for 30 years. Eric graduated with Honors from Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California. He was a drummer and band member of Copperhead. Eric enjoyed the outdoors and being by the water. He also loved spending time with his family.
Eric is survived by his wife, Brandy Lingerfelt Suttlemyre; children, Erika Suttlemyre (Daniel), Jamie Suttlemyre (Alex), Jordan Edmisten (Charles), Savannah Lingerfelt, Cole Lingerfelt, Mylah Suttlemyre; grandchildren, Owen and Jalyn Suttlemyre; brother, Jay Suttlemyre; former wife, Kimberly Holland.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Eric requests that you do a random act of kindness.

I am in tears I only found out a couple of days ago. Eric was my buddy, my brother, & friend. He was my instructor/teacher, one of my mentors. He made me a session player, and I played for Clutch (btw I am in Yankee land) Trying hard to come home. have set in C.O.C. when Reed Mullins was deathly & Ill. I just wished that Neil could give me a call @ 410-449-6020. Hard to believe he has been gone for 4 years and just finding out. I should have never left home. Now Eric is soundly safe because he is in the arms of GOD. I SO MISS YOU! I AM SO SORRY TOO, YOU WILL AWAYS BE MY BROTHER AND WITH ME.
