Sammy E. Gilliland, 59, of Connelly Springs went to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Born on August 12, 1961 he was the son of the late Clarence and Jewel Gilliland. Sammy was of the Baptist faith. He worked at Bradley Construction in Georgia. Sammy was loved by all, especially the nurses and staff at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Viewmont.
Sammy is survived by his brother, Rickey D. Gilliland; sisters, Violet “Peanut” Dillingham (Robert), Goldie Dauback (Rick), Mary Brewer (Bill); and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Sammy is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Gilliland; brother, David Gilliland.
A Celebration of Sammy’s life will be at 2pm, Sunday, November 22, 2020 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
