Ruth Ellen Kuemin Preston, 81, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Born in Michigan on June 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ray Kuemin and Alice Zody Kuemin. Ruth was a member of Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Preston love crafting, including flowers and wreathes, and enjoyed cooking. Ruth loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Ruth is survived by a son, Eric Preston; grandchildren, Sharon Thorne (Michael) and Phillip Pershing; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Ali; a sister, Kathleen Gilley; and three brothers, Donald, Dennis and David Kuemin.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Preston; son, Murry Preston; daughter, Ruth Pershing; and a sister, Beverly Kuemin.
Services for Mrs. Preston will be announced at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
