Ruby Wilson Walker, 80, of Alexandria, VA, and formerly of Morganton, NC, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Alexandria Hospital in VA following a period of declining health. She was born June 20, 1926 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Marshall and Maggie Crawley Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Earline Burgin. Ruby was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Walker of the home; sons, Gary and Laura Walker of Dale City, VA, and Harold and Vickie Walker of Texas; a brother, Ray Wilson of Morganton; and a sister, Margaret Wilson Propst of Morganton; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Monday, March 19, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:00 am Monday before the service. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
