Ruby Sims Jablonski

Ruby Sims Jablonski, 85, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Grace Heights. Born in Burke County, NC on March 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Jefferson Sims and Laura Jane Berry Sims. Ruby was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of Henredon Furniture Company and was a long-time volunteer at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.Ruby is survived by her sons, Phil Jablonski and wife, Sharon, of Morganton, NC and Greg Jablonski of Lattimore, NC; a daughter, Sandy Wilson and husband, Mark, of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Ned Sims of Anniston, AL; a sister, Doris Smith of Morganton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a husband, Theodore Jablonski; a daughter, Susan Brock; brothers, Jeff and Coe Sims; sisters, Margaret Manning, Abbie Alexander, and Marie Riddle; and an infant sister.The memorial mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
