Ruby Moses Bryant

Ruby Moses Bryant, 83, of Clay St., Morganton, NC, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Autumn Care of Drexel, NC. Born in Burke County, NC on August 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Johnson Moses and Anna Elizabeth Sprouse Moses. Ruby retired from Shadowline.Mrs. Bryant is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen McGee and husband, Harold, of Morganton; sisters, Bertha Harrison of Bostic, NC, Viola Adcock of Allen Park, MI, and Rosa Lee Hash of Chase City, VA; grandchildren, James McGee, Kathy Rexrode, Mark McGee, Joe Hampton, Geraldine Brown, and Mary Ann Jackson; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Bryant; a daughter, Pearl Elizabeth Hampton; brothers, Alfred Moses and Claude Moses; and sisters, Lillie Mae Bollinger and Anna Belle Bynum.The graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Bryant Family Cemetery with Rev. David Orders officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
