Ruby Goodson Williams

Ruby Goodson Williams, 96, of Holly Springs Nursing Center, Rutherfordton, NC died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born November 28, 1909 in Caswell County, NC, and was a daughter of the late George Edgar Goodson and Georgia Nash Goodson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Williams. Ruby was an active member of Mt. Home Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Ruby is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Jonnie Williams of Morganton; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Charles McKee of Swansboro, NC; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 25, 2006 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. Burial will be at 4:00 pm, Thursday at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Providence, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
