Rosetta “Rose” Foust, 85, of Valdese passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born in Iredell County, NC on February 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Follette and Lucy Horton Follette. Rose was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of Skyland Textiles and Midland Ross, and she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and working outside.
Rose is survived by her sons, Harvey C. Foust, III and C. Michael “Mike” Foust, both of Morganton; grandchildren, Barbara, Evan, and John Elam Foust; sisters-in-law, Dixie and Virginia Follette; brother-in-law, John Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, H. Clinton “Clint” Foust, Jr.; brothers, Rufus, Henry, and Babe Follette; and a sister, Christine Bowman.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dana McKim officiating. The family will greet friends in the cemetery following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Burke United Christian Ministries.
