Rosa Lee Burnette Carneal, 76, of Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 19, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1945 in McDowell County to the late James Otis Burnette and Leona Henderson Burnette. Rose was very strong in her faith. She loved flowers and gardening and also loved to color. She lived for her dogs. Rose retired from Case Farms. She loved her family and was “Mama Rose” to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Paul Lane; daughter, Roxanne Lane Alley; son, Tommy Wayne Lane; grandsons, Donnie Powell, Larry Wayne Powell, Jr, and Noah Zander; grand-daughter, Cara Lane; brother, James W. Burnette; sister, Della Jane Burnette
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Powell (Larry); son, Teddy Lee Lane (Lisa); grandchildren, Andrew Lane, Samantha Alley, Chelsea Lane, Dalton Lane, Jeana Lane, Dillion Brewer, Jesse Powell and D.J. Lane; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Burnette; sister, Wanda Grace Lane.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A private family funeral will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
