Rosa L. Justice, 80, of Morganton, NC, went to her heavenly home and received a new body on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Born in Avery County, NC on July 16, 1943, she is the daughter of the late George Leon Wiseman and Helen Woody McClellan.

Rosa was a member of Open Door Ministries. She was a former employee of Premier Hosiery and J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. She loved to laugh, watch westerns, eat Mexican food, and take care of her homeless kitties.

Rosa is survived by her daughter, Shelia Garrison (Chris); half-brothers, James Wiseman, Phillip Wiseman (Jill), Tony Wiseman, and Michael McClellan; half-sister, Terry McClellan and Becky McClellan; adopted daughter, Debra Justice Wellman (Jimmy); a number of nieces and nephews; and her best friend and help-mate, Bill McGalliard.

In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, William Austin Justice; brother, Johnny Wiseman; and sister, Barbara McClellan.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at noon in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Moose officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Rosa was one of the nicest people I ever met. She and my dad went square dancing and she smiled and laughed the whole time. Rose was truly a beautiful person. My deepest condolences to her family.

When I was a young girl we lived on Herron St. I remember Rosa and her niece, Lorretta. I always thought Rosa was such a pretty woman. She was always smiling. Prayers for the family.
