Ronald “Ronnie” Bruce Oxentine, 70 of Morganton, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018. Born on September 19, 1948. He is the son of the late Robert Bruce Oxentine and Hildred Mary Nichols Oxentine. Ronnie enjoyed hunting, racing and football. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Helen Oxentine; daughters, Samantha Shelton (Jason), and Gail Davis (Allen); son Michael Oxentine (Beverly); grandchildren, Dakota Davis, Jordan Davis, Zachary Shelton, Dalton Shelton, Ethan Shelton, Jordan Oxentine and Brittany Oxentine; great-grandchild, Paisley Shelton; siblings, Jan Oxentine, Amanda Esser (Chris), and Kirk Oxentine, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by a number of uncles and aunts.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
