Roger Jerome Soots

Roger Jerome Soots, 71, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, May 31, 2015.  Born December 19, 1943 in Caldwell County, NC, he was a son of the late Hazel Rebecca Soots and Robert Myers. 

Roger is survived by his caregiver and family, Carroll Smith and wife, Lauren of Morganton; children, Summer McCrary and husband, Michael of Greenville, NC, and Steven Smith of Morganton; a granddaughter, Violet Smith; Carroll’s mother, Joann Clark of Jefferson County, NC; and sisters, Paula Smith and Michael Scheitzer, and Corinne Abele and husband, Wayne, all of Morganton.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 2 2015 at Burke Memorial Park.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
