Robert Joy Turner, 84, of Morganton, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. He was born on March 24, 1938 in Michigan to the late Edward Turner and Ethel Wyatt Turner. He formerly worked for Chrysler Automotive in Detroit, MI. Robert loved to play golf and watch hockey. He enjoyed the time spent outdoors with his wife, Carol. Robert will be missed by Carol and his pets, Kodie and Mickey.
He is survived by his wife, May Carol Moretz Turner; daughter, Debra Marie Wojaczynski (Michael); sons, Robert J Turner, Jr. and William J. Turner; granddaughter, Stefanie Turner; step-children, Mary, Elizabeth, and David; nine step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; two sisters; former wife, Judy; step-son, Robert.
There are no services planned at this time but phone calls and notes are welcome.
