Robert Ferman Taylor, Jr., “Weizer,” 47, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Burke County, NC on October 6, 1978, he was the son of Robert Ferman Taylor and Sheila Jean Yount Taylor. Weizer graduated from Freedom High School and worked several jobs. He was an exceptional artist and prior to his illness, he loved to fish and hunt. Weizer most enjoyed spending time with his sons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents and his sons, Trey and Jace Taylor; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Weizer was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ferman and Maphrie Taylor; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Shirley Yount.

A celebration of Weizer’s life will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
