Robert C. Gilbert, Jr., 54 of Morganton, NC passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Born on October 20, 1967, he was the son of Gwendolyn Gilbert and the late Robert C. Gilbert, Sr. Robert was a 1985 graduate of Freedom High School, 1994 graduate of Gardner Webb. He was employed at UNIX – Packing. Robert loved to watch basketball and football. He was an avid Duke fan.
Robert is survived by his son, Nicholas Gilbert; daughter, Jaylen Gilbert; sister, Lori Gilbert, Benita Gilbert; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Robert is preceded in death by his sister, Florence R. Williams.
There will be a service at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
