Robert Bruce Pennington, 60, of Morganton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on August 4, 1965, he was the son of the late Robert Benjamin Pennington and Nancy Jane Vance Pennington.
Robert dearly loved his family. He enjoyed being outside, working in the dirt, raking hay, and spending time with his loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Scottie Pennington, Jesse Pennington and spouse, Brandy, and Joshua Pennington and wife, Ashley Pennington; daughter, Brittany McDonald and husband, Matthew McDonald; grandchildren, Braylen Pennington, Elliot Velasquez, and Elias Velasquez.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his greatest love besides his children, Mary.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
