Robert “Bob” Cotton, 76, of Southport, NC, formerly Morganton went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Bob was born May 15, 1941 in Suffolk County, Massachusetts to the late Maxie Cotton and Ruth Evans Cotton. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Bob was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church and had been a finance officer for Valley Chevrolet for a number of years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn “Jean” Carswell Cotton.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Debbie Talbert and husband, Charles of Southport, NC and Angie Pariso and husband, Craig of Boone; grandsons, Zack Talbert and Mikey Pariso; brothers, Ronnie Cotton and wife, Diane and Paul Cotton both of Florida; and a sister Bonnie Jean Treutel and husband, James of Florida.
The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Mt. Home Baptist Church. A funeral service will be at 2:00p.m. in the church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park with military honors provided by the US Air Force.
