Ricky Hamby

Ricky Hamby, 61, of Morganton passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence.  Born in Caldwell County, NC on February 3, 1959, he was the son of the late Theodore L. Hamby and Betty Smith Hamby.  Ricky retired from Fairfield Chair and enjoyed music, hunting, and fishing.

Mr. Hamby is survived by his children, Joshua Bingham of Lenoir and Nikki Robbins (Fredrick Greene) of Collettsville; grandchildren, Austin, Haylie, Hunter, Layla, and Elijah Greene; and siblings, Gary Hamby, Shelia Johnson, and Tim Hamby.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Tester Hamby.

Ricky will be available for viewing from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Rev. Ed Warren officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
