Rick Tallent, 72, of Drexel, NC, went home to see his family on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Born in Burke County, NC on July 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Jesse Carl Tallent and Frances Wannell Smith Tallent.
Ricky was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. He had worked at Drexel Heritage Furniture, Century Furniture, and Hickory White Furniture. Ricky enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Lance Tallent (Kayla) and Eric Tallent; grandchildren, Jet and Braylon Tallent; and siblings, Vickie Tallent Curtis and Buren Allen Curtis.
The family will greet friends from 4:30 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Brookwood Baptist Church. A celebration of Ricks life will follow at 5 p.m. in the church with Rev. Earl Cross officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
