Richard "Shaky" Short

Richard "Shaky" Short, 55, of Morganton, NC died Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born in Whitesburg, KY on May 12, 1956 to the late John Astor Short and Wanda Lee Sexton Short. Shaky had worked at W. R. Patton Construction Company and H & H Builders.Shaky is survived by his wife, Anita Clayton of the home; children, Ketih A. Short of Detroit, MI, Roger W. Short of Morganton, and Richard L. Short of Morganton; six grandchildren; a sister, JoAnn Bridgeman of Morganton; and his former wife, Bethy Short.In addition to his parents, Shaky was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Donnie Short.A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Park Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O.
