Rebecca Jane Butler Hill, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1947 in Morganton, NC to the late Charles Ayden Butler Sr. and Lillian Warner Butler. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ayden Butler, Jr. of Newland, NC; nephew, Charles Ayden Butler, III of Hickory, NC; sister, Lillian Eleanor Butler of Morganton.
Jane attended Morganton High School and Gardner-Webb University. She worked as a flight attendant, followed by a career as a registered nurse.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Yancey (Clay); grandchildren, Dr. Rainer Butler of Boston, MA, Mrs. Rhiannon Ingold (Anson) of Drexel, NC, and Mr. Lansing Butler of Morganton, NC; former sister-in-law, Ms. Gayle Butler; niece, Ms. Caroline Butler; nephew, Mr. Hank Butler (Shelley) of Charlotte, NC; great-nephews, Mr. Hunter Butler, Mr. Stuart Butler and Mr. Jack Butler.
No services are planned for Ms. Hill.
