Committal
Randy Edward Beane, 73, of Morganton, NC, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026. Born in Burke County, NC on June 13, 1953, he was the son of the late Malvin Herbert Beane and Hannie Ester Lingerfelt Beane.
Randy was a long-time employee of the City of Morganton and retired, in 2015. Randy spent his life hunting and fishing, and he loved to go camping at the Linville Falls Campground. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren and spending time in his shed on woodworking projects.
Those left to remember him are his son, Dustin Martin (Rebekah), granddaughter Cora, grandson Cole and his son Ethan Beane (Erin), and granddaughter Addison.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a son, Darren and a sister, Linda Kincaid.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on July 17 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church from 3-5 where he was a member.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

This is the loss of old and dear friend. Randy and I have been friends since high school. In fact, he escorted me in homecoming. Even when I moved away from Filter Plant Road we continue to stay in touch frequently by texting or calling each other just to see how we were doing. I will truly miss him as I know you will. I am so sorry. I can’t be at his receiving, but I am currently in a rehabilitation facility due to a fall.
To the family sorry for your loss I know Randy will be greatly missed I knew him years ago he was always a fun person to be around and he had lots of friends you're in my thoughts and prayers know this will be a difficult time for you cherish your memories of him
We have such good memories of Randy because he was always ready to speak to you and shake your hands. He always had a smile for you and a hello. We will miss Randy on our Sunday meet and greet. May God bless his family and prayers for you all. 🙏
My heart is heavy yet I rejoice as I know there was a great reunion in Heaven as Randy reached his Heavenly Home! Prayers for all of his family who left here to cope with the great loss! May God bless and give you peace!
