Randall (Randy) Smith, 70, of Morganton, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born on October 11, 1950 to the late James B Smith and Lucy Ford Smith Denton. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired from Henredon Furniture. Randy had a great sense of humor and was loved by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Smith; first wife, Sandra Poston Smith.
Randy is survived by his wife, Bettie Husted Smith; sister, Becky Henry (Steve); niece, Jessica Schweikert (Roddy); nephew, Jeremy Henry; great nieces, Alli Henry and Lily McCann; stepchildren, Jimmy Durrance (Vera), Billy Durrance (Michelle), Ronnie Durrance (Cindy), Chris Woodby (Myhria), Jason Woodby (Erin) and Sarah Franklin; special grandchildren, Amanda Durrance, Kaitlyn and Ashley Durrance, Ashton and Aaron Franklin, Eli and Emily Woodby.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
