Peggy Cline Marshall Goins

Peggy Cline Marshall Goins, 77, of Morganton, NC passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019.  Born February 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James Alexander Cline and Hazel Leona Easter Whisenant Cline.

Mrs. Goins was a devout Christian and a member of Amherst Baptist Church.  She retired from Baton Elementary School, where she taught special education.  Peggy was an avid gardener and loved working in her flowers.  Some more of her hobbies include camping, fishing, and reading.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her two infant brothers and brother, Jimmy Cline.

Mrs. Goins is survived by her husband, Bobby Goins; children, David Marshall (Jenny), Dennis Marshall (LaRue), and Cheryl Rodriquez.  Also surviving are grandchildren, David Marshall, Jr., Summer Knight, Graham Patterson, Audrey Patterson, McKenzie Marshall, Renee Bowman, April Staley, and Tori Bolding; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her canine buddy, “Hootie”.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 15 at Amherst Baptist Church.  The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Ernie Wilson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Caldwell County Special Olympics or Amherst Baptist Church Building Fund.
