Paul “Buddy” Eugene White, Jr.

Paul “Buddy” Eugene White, Jr., 61, of Elizabethton, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Born in Johnson City, TN on October 28, 1964, he was the son of Wanda Harvell Buff of Drexel and the late Paul Eugene White of Johnson City.

Buddy was a humble, caring man who loved his family and the Lord. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and was an avid fan of NASCAR. In his younger years, Buddy enjoyed riding bicycles, drawing, and the Burke County Fair was his favorite past time. He enjoyed laughter, often making jokes, and he never met a stranger. Buddy loved his home in Tennessee.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ashlee White and Jordan White; numerous grandchildren; sisters, LeeAnn Elmes (Sebastian), Cynthia Trite, and Lisa White; uncles, David White and Charlie White; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father and by a sister, Debra White Jackson; brother-in-law, Jerry Trite; and his favorite cousin, Donnie Humphries.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joe D. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
