Patsy Lovelace, 77 of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, February 1, 2026. Born on May 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Odas and Nell Saunders. Patsy was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church.
Patsy was a graduate of Salem High School and Western Piedmont Community College. She loved children and ran a home daycare for over 20 years.
However, her true calling was serving the Lord, alongside her husband, Donald. She enjoyed ministering to others, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, and volunteering at Vacation Bible School. If there was a need in her church family or community, Patsy was always ready to meet it.
Patsy enjoyed planning trips and traveling with both her family and church family. Even though she traveled many places, her favorite spot was always Myrtle Beach.
Patsy is survived by her daughter Joy Buff (Brad); grandchildren, Brayson, Brenlyn, Jolann Buff; aunts; cousins and friends who she thought of as her siblings; fur baby, Kity Sue.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, of 55 years, Rev. Donald Lovelace.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church. A funeral will be held in the church at 3pm with the Rev. Darren Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to touch the lives of children by sharing the love of Jesus through Samaritans Purse.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
