Oral Glen Hodge, 68, of Valdese, NC passed away on July 7, 2025, at 10:51PM. He was born in Sparta, NC on June 6, 1957, to the late Glen Hodge and Lelia Ann Smithers Hodge.
In addition to his parents, Oral is being welcomed into Heaven by his baby boy, Oral Lee Hodge; ex-wife Teresa Lee Swink; sister, Thelma Hodge-Edwards; four brothers-in-law; and many cousins.
Orals spirit is being lived on by his daughters, April Hicks and Pamela Hodge; his son-in-law, Charlie Hicks; granddaughters, Lelia Hood and Abigail Hicks; sisters, Betty Epley and Nancy Aycoth; special niece, Helen Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.
Oral had a loving and beautiful soul. He cared for his family and the friends he made in his journey of life. Oral impacted many people in the process. Oral was so selfless and gave more than he received. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and watching his grand-fur babies playing. More importantly, he loved his sisters, daughters, and grandchildren. His love always echoed in any room he was in, and he never lost his sense of humor.
