On Sunday morning, June 8, 2014, Jesus came down and wrapped his loving arms around Ms. Nonie Mae Ross, 92, and took her to be with her loving Lord and Savior. Nonie was the daughter of the late Grover Ross and Nona Bollinger Ross. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, William and John Ross; and two sisters, Blanche Suttles and Cena Ross.
Nonie is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Ross of Morganton (wife of the late John Ross); nine nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Mt. Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Home Baptist Church Building Fund, 2272 Mt. Home Church Rd., Morganton, NC 28655.
