Mrs. LaFevers, You were never my English teacher, but you were a teacher-friend and truly a person of light. Rumor has it that all your students knew that one does not turn on a TV, but rather, one turns a TV on. You were truly a bright light. I shall never forget your radiant eyes and bright smile. May the angels bear your soul to paradise. May the ranks of saints and martyrs come to greet you. May they lead you through the gates of the New Jerusalem and may you see Lazarus, who is poor no more. --In Paradisum

—Nancy (McCall) Hartman

Mrs. LaFevers was my sophomore English and grammar teacher at Glen Alpine High School. She gave every ounce of her energy every day to her teaching profession. As students, we loved her because she loved us. She taught us so much more than English , like respect of others as well as self respect, a tuff work ethic, honesty, confidence, patience and a love of humankind. A good and faithful servant and a hell of a example to model!.
