Nadean Luckadoo Carter

Nadean Luckadoo Carter, 89, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on June 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George Thurman Luckadoo and Lena Lenora Evelyn Matheson Luckadoo.  Nadean was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.  After her husband’s retirement, traveling the country in an RV and holding Bible studies/school.

Nadean is survived by her sister, Clara Tallent; brother, Bobby Luckadoo; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Nadean was preceded in death by her husband, Leo L. Carter; brother, Billy John Luckadoo; and sister, Ruth Luckadoo McDonald.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Revs. Ron Cooper and Justin Cunningham officiating.  Burial will follow in New Home United Methodist Church in Casar.

Memorial contributions may be made to El Bethel Baptist Church.
