Mrs. Eva Corrine Ray, 94, of Morganton, NC went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She died at Grace Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Ray was born in Shelby County, IN on March 20, 1920 to the late Chancy and Ida (Wilkins) Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Ray. She was a dedicated member of North Morganton United Methodist Church.
Eva is survived by her son, Terry L. Ray and his wife, Drenda, of Morganton; a granddaughter, Jennifier L. Auton and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Jennalyn; and three brothers. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at North Morganton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Burt Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Morganton United Methodist Church, 990 Sanford Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
