Mozelle “Nookie” Buff Wilson, 93, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 in West Palm Beach, FL. Born in Morganton, NC on August 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late McCoy Hartwell Buff and Minnie Cook Buff.
Mozelle was a devoted woman of faith whose life was deeply rooted in her church and community. An avid churchgoer, she found great joy in being actively involved in Sunday School and many church activities. She cherished time spent reading her Bible and growing in her faith. Easter, her favorite holiday, held a special place in her heart as a celebration of hope and renewal.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Tiege Stucky, granddaughter; Aibhilin Stucky, siblings; Doris Shene and Doug Buff.
In addition to her parents, Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband; Edward “Allen” Wilson and siblings; Mary Sue, Coila Mae Morrow, Floy Grubb and Bill Buff.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Friday, April 24, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A grave side will follow at 3:30 pm at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
