Morton Jessup Rose, 87, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Morton was born on December 4, 1928 in Bronx County, New York to the late Albert Rose and Irene Glickman Rose.
Morton was a veteran of the Korean War serving as 1st Lieutenant of the United States Air Force. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and the smartest guy known by his children. Morton had a lifelong passion for genealogy.
Morton is survived by his children, Richard Rose and wife, Gina of Morganton and Ilyssa Rose of New York, New York.
In addition to his parents, Morton was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Leibowitz Rose.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
