Minnie Pearl Chapman Fredell Anthony, 80, of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2014 following a period of declining health.  Born May 1, 1934 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late John Chapman and Pearl Chapman Hudson and her step-father, Leroy Hudson.  Minnie was a member of Zion Road Baptist Church and a retired employee of Henredon Furniture.

She is survived by children, Ruby Falls of Glen Alpine, Delorise Chapman and husband, Dennis, Coy Fredell, Delbert Fredell, Frank Fredell and wife, Susie, and Dennis Fredell and wife, Lori, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Deana, Dareama, Robbie, Melanie, Marsha, and Jennifer; fifteen great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Chapman and wife, Sadie of Morganton; three step-daughters; six step-granddaughters and one step-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death her first husband, Minnie Fea “Buddy” Fredell; her second husband, Delbert Ray Anthony; a granddaughter, Amber Bowden; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Carswell; a son-in-law, John Falls; a daughter-in-law, Nelda Harlan Fredell; and siblings, Viney Huffman, Lena Chapman, Melissa Pritchard, Pless ‘Buck” Chapman, Ollis “Pinto” Chapman, and Rayfield Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Zion Road Baptist Church with Rev. Micah Piercy and Rev. Steven Painter officiating.  Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at the church.  At other times, the family will at the residence of Frank Fredell, Washboard Lane, Morganton.
