Mildred Rector Conley, 94, of Bristol Street, Morganton, NC, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Britthaven following a brief period of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on June 7, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Phifer Rector and Minnie Beulah Brittain Rector. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers.
Mildred is survived by her two grandchildren, Chris and Lisa Conley, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Holly Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 N. King Street, Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
