Mildred Evelyn Keller, 84, of Glen Alpine, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
Born in Burke County, NC on September 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George Millard Stamey and Rainey Stewart Stamey. Mildred was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved the Lord and her family.
Mrs. Keller is survived by her children, Kenneth Keller (Sandy) and Beth Kelley (Allen); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Shouppe (Camille); sister, Louise Murphy (Jim); and a number of extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Junior Keller; two sons, Richard and Jack Keller; and two sisters, Dot Patton and Lois Seals.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Silver Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the church with Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Creek Baptist Church.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
