Mike D. Pendergrass

Mike D. Pendergrass, 60, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Born in Burke County, NC on August 29, 1966, he was the son of the late Daniel Lester Pendergrass and Shirley Jean Bradley Jenkins.

Mike loved traveling with his beloved wife, Tammy. He also enjoyed carp fishing, spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, DJing at Myra’s car shows, and working in the yard. Mike said, “Don’t let me vote Democrat”.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Tammy Fowler Pendergrass; sons, Jonathon Pendergrass and wife, Amber, and Bradley Pendergrass and husband, Steven Barrett, and partner, Justice; grandchildren, Danicca, Kameron, and Lawson; siblings, Debbie Bowditch, her late husband David, Danny Pendergrass and wife, Ronda, and Jerry Pendergrass and wife, Wanda; sister-in-law, Tonya (Jo) Huffman; adopted son, Austin Gouge; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Fowler, and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Evelyn Fowler. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Sossoman Funeral Home. A celebration of Mike’s life will follow at 4 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral Home.
