Mike D. Pendergrass, 60, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on August 29, 1966, he was the son of the late Daniel Lester Pendergrass and Shirley Jean Bradley Jenkins.
Mike loved traveling with his beloved wife, Tammy. He also enjoyed carp fishing, spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, DJing at Myra’s car shows, and working in the yard. Mike said, “Don’t let me vote Democrat”.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Tammy Fowler Pendergrass; sons, Jonathon Pendergrass and wife, Amber, and Bradley Pendergrass and husband, Steven Barrett, and partner, Justice; grandchildren, Danicca, Kameron, and Lawson; siblings, Debbie Bowditch, her late husband David, Danny Pendergrass and wife, Ronda, and Jerry Pendergrass and wife, Wanda; sister-in-law, Tonya (Jo) Huffman; adopted son, Austin Gouge; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Fowler, and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Evelyn Fowler. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Larkin and I are so sorry to here about Mike. I will always remember him asking me...."Karen are you being a Karen? " I will miss seeing him in Food Lion and Larkin will miss him coming in Gordon's scrap. He was such a good man and will be missed tremendously. We're here for you if you need us. I am so very sorry for your loss of Mike! The brief time I knew you guys in North Carolina at Myrtle Beach right before bike week many years ago is a memory that has stuck with me forever. May you all find peace in this difficult time.
Mike was a long time friend of Earl's, and I became friends with him at Myra's Friday Night Cruise-In. We will certainly miss him. We rest knowing he is with his Heavenly Father and no longer in pain. Our thoughts and Prayers are with his family for strength and peace. It's not good bye, it's see you later our dear friend! Where do I start. You have been a good friend for as long as I can remember. There has never been a time that I can recall that I when I have seen you that you didn't have a hug for me or a smile from ear to ear. We grew up on Crow Hill so we roamed those streets day in an day out, I've known you my whole life. You were here with Rick making wine and you still have some of his wine, so now your in heaven making that wine together once again Im gonna miss you my dear friend I love you always.
Mike you were a brother to me when you and Tammy got together. Always been there for me. You will be missed
