Michael Perrotta, 62, of Morganton went to his heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.  Born in Queens, NY on October 27, 1952, he was the son of Lucille Fazio Perrotta of Houston, TX and the late Salvatore Sam Perrotta.  Michael was raised in the Catholic faith.

Michael moved to Florida in the mid-seventies where he met his wife of 36 years, Brenda, fell in love with the Miami Dolphins, and started his life-long career as a sheet metal fabricator.  He made his way to Morganton in the late 90s.  Here he perfected his trade and as some would say, became a sheet metal fabricating genius.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda Perrotta of the home; a brother, Thomas Perrotta and his wife, Sue, of Nashville, TN; sisters, Denise Scrivano and husband, Lary, of Richmond, VA, Mary Lou Murphy and husband, Ken, of Houston, TX; a sister-in-law, Cindy Doran of Akron, OH; a brother-in-law, Steve Pennington of Morganton; nieces, Tricia Scrivano of Richmond, VA, Allison Murphy of Houston, TX, Pamela Murphy of Lutz, FL, and Brandy De LaCruz of Clearwater, FL; and a large extended family, including a number of cousins.

To Roger and Becky, all his friends in Florida, Morganton, and Asheville, all the girls at the BP Station, Debbie and Beth at Hillbilly’s, his constant companion, Smokey, and his faithful best friend until the end, David Bryant, he loved you all dearly.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
