Michael Lynn Bollinger, 73, of Valdese, NC, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on October 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Kelly Rector Bollinger, Jr. and Alma Jean Rogers Moore.
Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who deeply cared for his family. He was an understanding, supportive man who was always willing to give advice.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Denise Beam Bollinger; sons, Jason Bollinger (Alicia), Derek Bollinger (Lynnette), Matt Hogan, and John Hogan (Catherine); and grandchildren, Austin Hogan (Isabelle), Spencer Bollinger, Dawson Bollinger, Mallie Hogan, Ethan Bollinger, Colton Bollinger, Sawyer Bollinger, Sebastian Bollinger, Ward Hogan, Leland Hogan, and Shep Hogan.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a granddaughter, McKenzie Bollinger; and three siblings, Douglas Bollinger, Janet Houston, and Tracy Bollinger.
Services will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
