Dear Thomas and Family, We were sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Just wanted to let you and the family know that you are in our continued thoughts and prayers.
Dear Thomas and family, My heart broke when I heard the news of the loss of your mother, my dad Jesse Lee’s sister, aunt Mattie. brother Mike broke the news to me and my heart sank. I only had the privilege of meeting Aunt Mattie the one time years ago when we met at a family reunion in Galax Va. she was the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. Just so darn sweet. I’ll never forget the first time we met, she was sitting at a table with my brother Mike at the hotel I was staying at. Me my wife and my boys came walking up behind her and she looked over her shoulder, saw me and the tears started rolling down her cheeks! I’ll never ever forget that as long as I live. She said I looked just like myfather and she covered her mouth and just hugged me and it felt like I knew her forever. What an honor It was to talk to her over the phone many times, over the years. I can still hear her sweet voice calling me “sweetie pie”. My only regret is that I didn’t know her more. However, I, oh, so look forward to meeting her again one day, when we all meet for one more final reunion in heaven, that will last for eternity. The whole Williams bunch. My lovely wife Kathleen and my Sons Michael, Ben and Joey Lee, also send their deepest condolences. May the God of comfort, comfort the williams families hearts many times over , through this heart breaking time. Thank you God for the life of Mattie Lovins Fox. Grace and peace always. “How Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 Thomas Jesse Williams II
I had the great honor of being Mrs. Mattie Fox mail carrier for several years. What a wonderful person she was. Always so kind and precious! What a joy it was to see her smiling face open the door and chat for a little bit. My prayers to the family for Gods grace to walk thru this. ~Pamela Sharpe (USPS)

Mr Thomas and family, my deepest sympathies for your loss. Please remember how much you are loved here in Seymour. I am here if there's anything I can do. You and Miss Carla mean so much to me. Even though I didn't know your mother, I do know that loss is hard. You are in my heart and thoughts in the coming days during this mourning process. I love you Mr Thomas and I am so grateful God put you with me on my journey! Your faith has always been and inspiration for me.
Thomas and all of your family, I’m so very sorry. My childhood memories of her were that she was always kind and a help to anyone she could. Her sweet smile and words of encouragement to students at school are remembered. May God wrap you all in love and comfort as you mourn.
