In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Ann Williams.
Mary is survived by her husband, Leroy Ray; son, James Dakota Ray (Lauren Ray); grandchildren, Raelyn Faith Ray and Benjamin Luke Ray; brothers, Kevin Matthews and Curtis Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 5-6pm on Thursday, March 22, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 6pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mike Woodey
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mary you were my best friend and I miss you so much. But im glad your not here on this awful earth. This is hell. But my moma is with you now. Maybe yaw can get together and say hi to me together. Who woulda thought that my moma and best friend would pass 1 year apart. Mary you always kept me laughing and I miss that about you and I miss alot of things about us. Our river trips,....man we had fun didnt we!? I will say bye for now my river partner and best friend forever. I love you girl!

Mary was always so nice to me. She will be missed by many! I will always remember her cheering on her son James at ball games! She loved him so much! Rest in peace sweet lady!
You will be truly missed, you was a great friend and I will miss you helping picking on my husband Ronnie. You have earned your wings and now you get to fly high with your sister and have fun time catching up on everything you wanted her to know.
