Martha Lynn Davis Sullivan, 65, of Newland, NC passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born on May 2, 1951 and was the daughter of Mildred Marcus Davis Wilson and the late Claude M. Davis. Martha had a close relationship with God. She was very generous had numerous friends and was known for her childlike enthusiasm. Martha loved others more than herself.
In addition to her biological father she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sullivan.
Martha is survived by her mother, Mildred Marcus Davis Wilson; father, Bernhard Wilson; sisters, Joanna Yarbrough and husband, Dwyane of Alabama and Carmela Church and husband, Clyde of NC; her cat, “Baby”; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Riverside Baptist Church. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
