Martha Emma Dishman, 65, of Hudson, NC died Friday, April 3, 2015. Born in Caldwell County, NC on January 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Melton Poarch and Ruby Hollar Poarch. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Dishman, Sr.; and two brothers, Walter and Ralph Poarch.
Martha is survived by her children, Martha Katherine Burch of Claremont, NC, James Dewey Dishman, Jr. of Morganton, Timothy Bryan Dishman of the home, and Kenneth Lee Dishman of the home; grandchildren, Patricia Dishman Bowers, Henry James Barker, Jonathan Lee Eckard, Dustin Fillers, Christopher James Dishman, Brandon Dishman, Savannah Marie Dishman, and Kenneth Lee Dishman, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; and sisters, Patsy Ann Poarch and Margaret Melton.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with the Rev. Ed Warren and the Rev. Jerry Stines officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
