Martha Aileen May Cooper, 69, of Morganton died Sunday, May 5, 2019. Born in Burke County, NC on April 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Arvil May and Mary Martha McGalliard May. Martha was a devoted Christian and loyal member of Grace Baptist Church.
A devoted wife, mother, and nanny, Martha is survived by her husband, Joe R Cooper of the home; sons, Joseph Mark “Coop” Cooper (Jessica) and Tim Cooper (Kristin); grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Johnathon, Kailyn, Teagan, and Ayden; and brothers, Lynn May (Gearlean), Danny May (Vera), and Jeff May.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Marty Bess officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
