Mark Gantt, 47, of Morganton, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born on July 18, 1974 in Burke County to Steve Gantt and Cathy McLean Gantt. He was a member of Summit Community Church. He loved to play the drums. Mark was an avid Tom Brady fan with the Patriots and Buccaneers and even got to see him play. He was always willing to help anyone because he was a good soul. To have known Mark was to love Mark.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Chrissy Cole Gantt; nieces and nephews, Connor Webb, Macey Webb, Addison White, Carlee McKinney, Becklee McKinney and Decklynd White; aunts, Frances Wright (Ray) and Carol Anderson (Alex); cousins, Connie Reavis (Gary) and Travis Anderson; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Summit Community Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00pm in the church with Pastor Mike Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
