Mark Anthony Whisenant, 51, died Saturday, November 11, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on March 2, 1966, he was the son of Wanda Laughridge Kiddy and her husband, Larry, of Morganton and the late Ronnie Anderson Whisenant. Mark was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and he enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and the outdoors.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Mark is survived by his son, Jesse Whisenant of Morganton; daughters, Melanie and Lauren Whisenant, both of Morganton; a grandchild; and a sister, Emily Foss of Hampstead, NC.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
