Marion Elaine Miller, 69, peacefully shared her goodbyes surrounded by a loving family on Monday, July 23, 2018. Affectionately known as "Mimi” she was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 24, 1948, to the late Angelo Terenzi and Phyllis Previer Terenzi. Marion retired from her career in Health Care to pursue her love of "puttering" around the house, growing flowers and herbs, cooking, watching birds, painting and shopping for "prizes" for those she loved.  She loved going on trips with family and friends, her health issues never stopped this amazing lady from spending time with those she loved.

Marion met Douglas Owen Miller when he was a sailor stationed in Massachusetts.  They were married and best friends for almost 51 years.  Their adventures ranged from ranching in Buffalo, Wyoming to settling in Morganton, NC surrounded by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her spunk and wit, her warmth and unconditional love will be dearly missed by those who cherish her memory: Loving husband Douglas O Miller.  Children: Denice Seng, Lisa Hudson, Tanya Miller, Joseph Miller and supportive spouses.  Grandchildren: Angelica Boseman, Alexander Selig, Abbigail Selig, Daniel Miller, supportive spouses and many beautiful great grandchildren.  Sister: Julia A Dunne.  Cherished friends: Nancy and Flossi. Numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Hannah.

She was raised in a loving Italian family including her brother Joseph A Terenzi (deceased) and sister Julia A Dunne (Wilmington, NC).  "Mimi" and her sister were described as "two peas in a pod" and had a beautiful, loving closeness that lasted a lifetime.

A celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home in Morganton, NC with Rev. Mike Costner officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
