Service
Marie Setzer Ray, 92, of Morganton, NC went Home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024. Marie was born on November 6, 1932 to the late Ernest Setzer and Mae Little.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Setzer; daughter, Carol Ann Ray; son-in-law, Jim Boone.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Joyce Boone; grandson, Richard Burleson (Deborah); great-grandsons, Carter, Parker, Noah and Dylan.
A graveside service will begin at 12:30pm on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Burke Memorial Park with Pastor David Kell officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends for Animals Humane Society of Burke County, 417 Kirksey Dr., Morganton, NC 28655. All who knew Marie, knew how much she loved animals, especially her cats.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
