Marian Amelia Pearson McNeilly, 85, of Morganton passed away Friday, August 16, 2019. Born in Burke County, NC on April 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Lee Pearson and Effie Brent Huffman Pearson. Marian was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lee Rogers, Reggie McNeilly Frady, and Eva Renee McNeilly; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, William Doyle McNeilly; three brothers, Clyde, Doyle and Grant Pearson; and three sisters, Louise Towery, Earline Whisnant, and Faye Lyle.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the church with Drs. Luke Lane, Eddy Bunton, and David Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
